Creation of a transatlantic double degree

This double degree project came into existence in 2016 between the Ecotoxicology and Environmental Chemistry (EXCE) component of the “Toxicology and Ecotoxicology” Master’s degree at the University of Bordeaux and the Quebec National Institute of Scientific Research (INRS)’s Water-Earth-Environment Center (Centre ETE). The COTE LabEx supported the EXCE Master’s initiative which aimed both to make the course more attractive to foreign students and to provide an opportunity for French students to study abroad. The INRS is the only research university in Quebec offering its students a Research Master in Water Sciences, thus offering courses that are completely complementary to those in the EXCE Master. The first students on this new international course started at the beginning of the 2017 academic year.
