A privileged partnership between Quebec and Aquitaine© Fotolia
Separated by some 5,000 kms, the University of Bordeaux and Laval University have long had a close relationship, formalized in 2012 under the name Alliance Bordeaux Laval. Within that framework, a forestry/wood agreement (Entente AQ Forêt-Bois) was signed in May 2013 to address the challenges of forestry sector development in Quebec and Aquitaine. Its goal: bringing stakeholders together to provide a more global response to the challenges of forestry sector development. The projects under way include the joint creation of a double-degree program in Ecology and Forestry, and the setup of a protocol facilitating student mobility between Bordeaux Sciences Agro and Laval University.
