NTU-UBx Joint Seed Funding

The present call wishes to support collaborative projects between the National Taiwan University (NTU) and the University of Bordeaux (UBx) and seeks to provide seed funding opportunities for new or recent collaborations. The call hopes to focus on fostering sustainable and high added-value partnership projects with impact on the universities' community and related institutions.

The cooperation with NTU started a few years ago in the context of Tsukuba-Bordeaux-NTU triangular collaboration within the GIP-TRIAD Program. The University of Bordeaux and NTU signed in 2015 a cooperation agreement to affirm the strong will to work together to develop a successful long-term partnership.

In 2018-2019 UBx implemented a Helpdesk for the Call for Proposal targeted at NTU through the Bordeaux International Support Program.  Given existing strong ties, NTU and the UBx decided to implement a joint seed funding program to encourage and further their cooperation. Any projects used as a way to leverage international exposure and networking are encouraged in the NTU-Bordeaux cooperation Program (double degrees, summer schools, workshops etc.).

This program aims at supporting the initiation and development of cooperation projects with a strong potential for institutional impact. Therefore, the submitted projects must be written from the partnership angle, highlighting the impact of planned actions on the development of the cooperation between the two institutions. In the case of research projects, the quality of the research project itself is not part of evaluation criteria for this programme. Hence the scientific content will not be evaluated. Only one application should be submitted by team.
