Christelle Lahaye is an associate professor of applied physics in the area of art history and archeology at Bordeaux Montaigne University, a geochronologist at the Archeomaterials Research Institute (IRAMAT-CRP2A, UMR5060) and a Cluster LaScArBx stakeholder. This year, Lahaye received a bronze medal from the CNRS for her research in chronology.

Part of the mystery surrounding of the infant skeleton found in Border Cave (South Africa) with its Conus shell has been revealed through research conducted by Francesco d’Errico of the PACEA laboratory in Bordeaux and Lucinda Blackwell, a visiting scholar in Bordeaux and researcher at the University of Witwatersrand (Johannesburg). Their findings were published in the international Journal of Human Evolution.
