Part of the mystery surrounding of the infant skeleton found in Border Cave (South Africa) with its Conus shell has been revealed through research conducted by Francesco d’Errico of the PACEA laboratory in Bordeaux and Lucinda Blackwell, a visiting scholar in Bordeaux and researcher at the University of Witwatersrand (Johannesburg). Their findings were published in the international Journal of Human Evolution.
